George T. Faulkner's Obituary
Faulkner, George Thomas (Sr), of Miami, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2009. Born in Miami on November 25, 1926, he was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Joanne, and is survived by his son George Thomas Faulkner Jr, and wife Sue, of Sunrise, daughters Gwen Faulkner and Nancy Faulkner both of Miami, grandson Matthew Faulkner of Sunrise, one niece, 8 nephews and many loving friends and relatives. George retired from Southern Bell after 35 ½ years of service in November 1983. He was a member of Coral Gables Lodge #260 F&AM, Miami Chapter OES #141, Miami Scottish Rite and the MAHI Shriners. “Dad, you will be greatly missed by your family and friends and we know that you are happy now that you are back together with Mom.”
Visitation with Masonic Service will be held Tuesday evening, 4/28, from 6 to 9 PM. Services will be held Wednesday at 10 AM at Van Orsdel Coral Gables Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held after Wednesday’s service at the MAHI Oasis Room, 1500 NW North River Drive. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or the MAHI Transportation Fund, 1480 NW North River Drive, Miami, FL 33125-2602
