Fred A. Naaman's Obituary
NAAMAN, FRED, passed away Tuesday September 28, 2010 surrounded by a large, loving family at the age of 82. Born in Lebanon, Fred came to Hawaii to join his sister Angele and herLabeanese American husband, Raymond Asmar. Fred subsequently graduated from the University of HI. He then moved to Miami, FL in 1955 where, while surfing on South Beach, met Patricia Ann Barry, married her and together they raised four wonderful children in their Kendall home that Fred over the years, with his green thumb, lovingly turned into a lush tropical paradise. He is survived by wife Pat; son Barry; daughters Eileen, Paula and Maryann;grandsons Jyotis, Sylus, Collin and Matthew; brother Abbot Paul Naaman; sister Wadad Arbide and his many loving nieces and nephews. Fred was very active and strong both physically and mentally. He had a profound impact on and set a great example for those blessed enough to have him in their lives. He had a reputation for "doing things my way!"
