FRANK AUGUST NELSON's Obituary
Frank Nelson born in Connecticut to a Swedish family on April 1, 1936 was taken from us May 13, 2018 but his spirit will remain in all his smile has touched.
You are the strength in our souls, the shine in Mom’s eyes and the protector of our family.
Frank had a huge passion for numbers, cars, and family and Proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for eight years. Frank attended Fairleigh Dickinson University earning a degree in accounting followed by the University of Alabama graduate school and the University of Miami in mortgage banking. He was a member of the Marine Corps league, past president of the Kiwanis Club and lectured at many Mortgage Bankers Association seminars throughout his career. He retired from a successful career in mortgage banking fraud prevention in 2007. He is survived by his wife and sweetheart of 60 years Suzanne, their son Rick and his wife Kara Nelson. Their daughter Lory Nelson-Brunner and his grandchildren whom he adored so much; Tyler, Brett and Kyle Brunner and Kendall Nelson, all of Miami Florida.
He wouldn't brag about his accomplishments but rather he would tell stories of his journey along the way. Most of them involve Cars and history-he didn't forget anything-details were his passion: His stories kept you on the edge of your seats, and were filled with facts and memories entangled into one; many times leaving the "Bad influence" Details out. As we grew up we always found out the "cool stuff" he left out from his best friend, our uncle Gordon Barry or Aunt Lynn and Mom who would spill the beans 'accidentally'.
Please join us June 9, 2018 at 11220 SW 88 st. Miami Fl. 33176 for a memorial celebration. Tropical attire is what he would wear and so please feel free to do so as well. We welcome your stories and need and appreciate your smiles. Tears are optional, hugs are mandatory.
