Francis Nall Koenig's Obituary
Koenig, Frances Nall, 82
Born in Greensboro, N.C. to Harvey and Ruby Nall, she moved to Miami with her husband and children in the mid 1950's. She was a devoted member for many years of Flagami Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. Her many accomplishments included her employment with the University of Miami as Assoc. Director of Development and eventually Director of Alumni Affairs at the School of Medicine. After her career at U of M she returned to school and graduated with her MBA. She was hired by Bank of America who eventually promoted and transferred her to a Vice President position at their home offices in San Francisco, CA. where she remained until her retirement in 1996 at which point she returned to her home in Miami. She was deeply loved and admired by all who knew her. Of all her accomplishments her finest was as a mother and wife. She is deeply loved and will be terribly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward E. Koenig and son Keith E. Koenig. She is survived by her sons: Harvey Steven (Mary Jo) Koenig, Craig Joseph (Ann) Koenig, and Mark Edward Koenig; and her sister Jan McKnight. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. A celebration of Life Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 11:00am followed by interment at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Miami or a charity of their choice.
