Dr. Francisco L. Padron's Obituary
Francisco Lorenzo Padron, 74, of Miami, Florida, passed away at his home, on December 14, 2023.
Francisco was born in Havana, Cuba on July 28, 1949; he left his country in 1965 on a flight to Madrid, Spain, where he lived for six months. His family arrived in New Jersey in 1966 where he attended Memorial High School in West New York, NJ; followed by Newark College of Engineering from which he graduated in 1973 with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked for one year at Ortho Pharmaceuticals and then left to attend medical school in Valladolid, Spain. He received his medical degree on July 16, 1980, and on July 18 he married Joanne Kleiner in Havertown, Pennsylvania. He completed his medical internships and residencies in Internal Medicine at Muhlenberg Hospital, Plainfield, NJ; East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, TN; and Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach, FL. As a practicing physician, he treated thousands of patients spanning four decades. In 2022, after an arduous exam, Dr Padron received his recertification by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Francisco is survived by his wife Joanne; and his children Paloma Joy; Francis Howard (Gaby); and Laura Joelle. He is predeceased by his brother Fernando; and his parents Francisco and Berta. He was loved dearly by his family, friends, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral arrangements will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, 4:00pm - 6:00pm, at Van Orsdel funeral home, 11220 North Kendall Drive, Miami, FL.
