Francis Martin "John" Yeager, PE's Obituary
John, the patriarch of our family, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day at the age of 90. He was born in Charleston, West Virginia, graduating from Charleston Catholic High School. Following an Honorable Discharge from the Army, John relocated to Miami to attend the University of Miami graduating with a degree in Architectural Engineering. He owned Yeagar Construction for forty years, working in both the engineering and construction fields.
John was a member of the knights of Colombus, the Elks, the Moose, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maureen; sons John (Kirsten), Jim (Mona), daughter Colleen (Cathy); sister Dolorus Anania; brother-in-law Michael O'Dea (Sheila); grandchildren Kyle (Nicky), Jaimie (CJ), Johnny and Zac; and great-grandchildren Ava, Evan and Lilian, as well as many nieces and nephews.
John will be greatly missed for his kind and loving heart. A special appreciation to Homestead Manor for their professional loving care as well as to his personal caregivers Claudia Morales, Anabel Walker and Mireille Luxe.
Due to Covid-19, a private graveside service will be held with military honors. A Celebration of Life will take place in the Spring.
