FRANCES WILHELMINA WARNACK's Obituary
Frances Wilhelmina Rogers-Warnack was born March 10th, 1929 at Jackson Hospital in Miami, Florida, to mother Annie Grace Garrett-Rogers, and adopted and raised by Esty Lamar Rogers. Surviving “sister”: Jean Knight-Barrett. Surviving children: Clifford Warnack, Claudia W. Sanders, Jodi W. Nebel. Her eldest daughter, Janice Wood, pre-deceased Frances on August 7, 2017. She is survived by six grandchildren: Robert Bocker III, Craig Warnack, Wesley Warnack, Jason Warnack, Kevin Nebel, and Jennifer Nebel. She has 10 surviving great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
Frances graduated from Jackson High School. While working at McCrory’s Drugstore downtown, she met her future husband, Fredric Moody-Dewey Warnack. They married on June 21, 1947. She taught Sunday School at Flagami Baptist Church, but Frances’s main focus and greatest love was her family. After her marriage ended in 1982, she returned to the workforce and held positions at Baptist Hospital, later as an Executive Assistant to her daughter, Jodi, and then at J. Byron’s (later Upton’s). She continued to work into her 70’s.
In 2011 Frances had a heart valve replacement, and shortly thereafter started showing signs of dementia. As Frances got to where she just couldn't continue to live in her home by herself anymore, she was placed in various ALF’s. To the very end, Frances was always very grateful for the care she was given. She recently celebrated her 90th Birthday with her surviving children and three of her grandchildren.
