Flor Suarez Tilden's Obituary
Flor Suarez Tilden, 81, of Coral Gables, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
Flor was born in San José, Costa Rica, on September 10, 1944, to Amparo (Turcios) and Luis Suárez. Her family immigrated to Miami, FL, in 1954 and eventually settled in Coral Gables. She attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School, Immaculata-La Salle High School, and eventually transferred to a finishing school in Europe. She retired from her position as Membership Coordinator of The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons in the early 2000s. She dedicated her time to her passion for reading great literature, writing our family biography, and, most importantly, being a devoted Grammy to her only grandchild, Thomas ("T.J."). Her charm, wit, generosity, and endless love will be deeply missed.
Flor was survived by her daughter, Kimberly Beltran (Javier); her grandson, Thomas Beltran; and her siblings, Noemy Suarez, Luis Suarez (Mary), Carlos Suarez, and Enrique Suarez (Ginger), along with 19 nieces and nephews. In place of flowers, and at Flor's request, please consider donating in her name to The ASPCA in Miami, Florida.
