Evelyn Sabbag's Obituary
Evelyn (Azrak) Sabbag was born on July 28, 1927, in Patterson, New Jersey, and passed away on May 29,2026 in Miami, FL. She was predeceased by her husband of over 66 years, Russell+, and survived by daughter Dianne (Nick+) Saab, son Russell (Rhonni), grandchildren Amanda, Nicholas, Russell, Gregory, Alexandra, Michael and Elizabeth as well as great grandchildren Adrian, Eric, Sophia and Nebula.
Evelyn came from a generation that held strong beliefs in hard work, family and church. She carried a close bond with a large family including her four sisters, two brothers and their families. Family gatherings were held often and were an important aspect of her life. Her family was of the utmost importance, and she lived her life through those strong, embedded beliefs.
Evelyn was a founding member of St. Jude Melkite Catholic Church serving in various roles within the Ladies Guild as well as working on special functions and services. She also served in the Patriarchal Order of the Holy Cross of Jerusalem.

Funeral services will be at St. Jude Melkite Church on Tuesday June 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM with entombment following at Woodlawn Park South.
