I was honored to have met Erskine many times, and considered him a friend. He was a gracious gentleman, full of life, laughter, and respect for one and all. Many times we have shared reflections about learning and knowledge. He was the kind of man who you bragged about knowing, who you referred other emerging scholars to consult, and a man who you knew from the first second of meeting that he would make profound changes in this world. Erskine was also a devoted and loving father, uncle, and family member to all. Those in his world are grieving and sad, but we are heartened by the knowledge and proof that his living in this world has made it a better place for all, past and future. If anyone deserves to walk with God, Erskine certainly does. I'd say for him to rest in peace, but knowing Erskine he is likely busy working and continuing to improve peoples' lives in Heaven. Bless you.
