Ernest Floyd Donahue's Obituary
Ernest F. Donahue, 78, of Miami, Florida, entered eternal life on December 7, 2012. He was born in Miami, Florida on November 30, 1934, to Joseph and Coreen Donahue. A native Miamian, who after graduating high school, entered the Marine Corps and served for three years.
Ernie was a Lieutenant and a legend in the Fire Fighter’s community, serving 44 brave and courageous years for Miami-Dade County. He loved visiting Disney World, collecting Disney memorabilia, model trains and Hess trucks. Ernie was a big kid at heart who was very generous and loving to his family.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 31 years, Elora, his children, Joseph Donahue, Debra Alloy (Wayne) Sean, step-children, Debi Hupf (Greg), Jeffrey Burns (Tere), seven grandchildren, and sisters, Mabel Donahue and Barbara Queen.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends who loved him very much. He will always be in their hearts and mind.
The viewing will be held from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Van Orsdel-11220 N. Kendall Dr. and the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with interment to follow at Woodlawn Park South.
