Emmett Greene's Obituary
Emmett Greene, 77, of Homestead, Florida went to heaven, on 11 September 2020. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama to parents Margaret Fountain and John Greene.
Emmett graduated from Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama and received a Master’s Degree from Nova University in Miami, Florida.
He was married to Annetta de Souza. A veteran, he served four years with distinction and honor as an Airman in the United States Air Force. The discipline and patriotism learned in the Air Force never left him, as his friends and family will attest.
He had a productive career in education and retired from the South Dade Adult Education Center as Assistant Principal.
He was an avid golfer. He enjoyed traveling and, favored Thai food.
He is survived by his wife Annetta, his children; Gregory, Denise, and Stephen, as well as Annetta’s children; Kent, Karen and Karla. Grandchildren, Aisha, Niah, Stephen, Lamar Jr., Sydney, Samantha, Savannah, Diamone, Marlee, Dominic, Kella and Kristens. His brothers, Jimmy and Lamar and, his sister Doris. As well as many nieces, nephews and a host of loving relatives. He was a friend to Doris Granberry and many others.
He was preceded in death by his parents Margaret and John and 6 siblings. He was the father-in-law of Tasha and brother-in-law to Sandy.
