EMILY SCHOLZE GROFF's Obituary
GROFF, Emily Kay Scholze, 70, died Sunday, April 15, 2012. She was a resident of Miami for 66 years. Born on March 12, 1942 in Birmingham, AL. She graduated from Miami Jackson High in 1960. A graduate from Florida State University, she became an English teacher employed by Dade County Public School Board. She taught English at Southwest Senior High, Miami Dade Community College, The Miccosukee Indian Village and at the Haitian Refugee Camp. She was a member of the West Dade Moose Lodge and Central Presbyterian Church. Survived by her daughter, Karin Martha Groff, bother, Ted Scholze of Miami Lakes, granddaughter, Kara M. Fleming (6) and her two stepdaughters, Ann E. Lee and Helen T. Hentley. Funeral service will be held at Van Orsdel Kendall Chapel, 11240 N. Kendall Dr. on Tuesday, April 24, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Reception immediately following at West Dade Moose Lodge, 9900 SW 77 Ave, Miami.
