Elora Ann Donahue's Obituary
Elora A. Donahue, 84, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 surrounded by family. She was born in Louisville Kentucky. Her family moved to Miami when she was thirteen. She graduated from Coral Gables High School and remained a lifelong resident of Miami, the city she loved. Our beautiful Mother was an angel with a young soul and a caring heart. Elora’s kindness and thoughtfulness always showed in all that she did. She loved going to Disney World, watching sports, football, baseball, and her vast collection of movies. Elora’s everlasting legacy will be the time and dedication she focused on her family, especially her many grandchildren who loved her dearly. Elora had various careers that included teaching children and helping animals, but her family and hobbies were always most important. While Christmas was her favorite and always a busy time, Elora worked to make every holiday and event special with her expertise in arts and crafts, cake decorating, baking and shipping cookies, knitting, sewing and doing everything she could to make a room fill with fun and smiles. Elora will be greatly missed.
Elora is preceded in death by her loving husband of thirty-one years Ernest Donahue, Lt Miami Dade Fire Department where he served forty-four years after leaving the USMC. She is survived by her brother, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Mass will be held at the Church of the Epiphany in South Miami followed by burial services at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Park South Cemetery.
