Father Elkin Dario Sierra's Obituary
Father Elkin Sierra, 58, of Miami, FL passed away on April 11, 2023.
He was born in Miami, FL on August 2, 1964 from Colombian parents, Jose and Stella Sierra. Graduated from Southwest Miami Sr. High School in 1982. He became a firefighter/ paramedic in 1992 for Miami Dade Fire Rescue. After 21 years he received “the call” from above and retired to join the seminary. He was ordained a Catholic Priest in May of 2019. Father Elkin was assigned to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Doral and then three year later assigned to St. Louis Catholic Church in Pinecrest.
He is survived by his brother Luis Sierra, his sister and her husband, Ana and Richard Palacios, and his nephews Vincent and Damian Palacios.
Celebration for Father Elkin will be on Friday, April 14th with a viewing from 9:30am to 11:30am and a mass and burial to follow. The location is: Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. 11691 NW 25th St., Doral, FL 33172
