ELIZABETH WEEDON CHIDLEY's Obituary
Chidley, Elizabeth W., 81, loving wife of the late John S. Chidley, died Thursday, February 20. After years of courageous struggle with many health conditions, "Betty" passed peacefully at home surrounded by family and loved ones. Born in Birmingham, Alabama she was the daughter of Henry and Becky Weedon. She grew up in Orlando and Hollywood Florida but was etermined to live and travel afar. After meeting her husband John in Cyprus, they avidly lived an almost nomadic life in varied places; England, Atlanta, Cincinnati and Jacksonville, amongst others before settling in the Redlands area. Betty is a graduate of Duke University a respected and awarded breeder of Lhasa Apsos and a world traveler. She is survived by her son Marc Chidley and his partner and wife Carol Scione, by her sister Jane Pippinger and her husband Brad, nieces Kelly Pippinger-Clark, Linda Kalmaru Barrett, nephew Kyle Pippinger, Reinar Kalmaru and very cherished friend Mary Lynn Duesing. In addition to her husband, she is preceded by her parents, her son Christopher M. Chidley, nephew Sean Pippinger and niece Holly Pippinger. Betty touched the lives of many people with her sage" words of wisdom", generosity, and boundless hospitality. Friends and family are invited to attend a remembrance service Tuesday, February 25th, at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations to the Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR), American Cancer Society and AKC Canine Health Foundation or organizations of your choice.
