Elizabeth "Buffy" Poole Ezell Roller's Obituary
Elizabeth “Buffy” Ezell Roller January 4, 1938 – September 24, 2025
Elizabeth “Buffy” Ezell Roller, 87, of Lakeland, Florida, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday September 24, 2025 at 8:55 pm.
Born on January 4, 1938, in Coral Gables, Florida, Buffy was the daughter of the late Judge Boyce F. Ezell, Jr. and Sara Wilson Ezell. She grew up in Coral Gables, graduated from Coral Gables High School, and attended Stetson University in DeLand. She later built a successful career as a Realtor in Maryland, where she spent much of her adult life.
Buffy had many passions that brought joy to her life and to those around her. She loved playing bridge, working puzzles, cheering on the Terps at the University of Maryland, and spending time in the mountains of north Georgia and North Carolina with her family. An expert with a glue gun, she was especially talented in arts and crafts, wreath making—earning many awards—and creating unique, funny Christmas and birthday gifts. She also enjoyed sharing her extensive knowledge of family history and had a flair for creating unforgettable place settings and decorations for gatherings, where she made everyone feel special.
Buffy had a strong Christian faith and generously gave her time to others, volunteering with Touching Miami With Love and supporting the Westminster Chapel in Lakeland.
Left to cherish her memory are her two children, William A. Schneider and his wife Elizabeth A. Wenta of Orlando and Sarah E. MacDonald and her husband Brian K. Swain of Orlando; her sister, Sally E. Newcomm and her husband Phillip G. Newcomm of Tequesta, FL; her brother, Boyce F. Ezell III of Vero Beach, FL; and her beloved grandsons whom she was extremely proud of, William Glen MacDonald of Polk City, FL and Dane Phillip MacDonald and his wife Pamela MacDonald of Holladay, UT.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel Auditorium at Westminster Communities of Florida, 16 Lake Hunter Drive, Lakeland, FL.
A graveside burial will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Park South, 11655 SW 117th Ave., Miami, FL, where Buffy will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Touching Miami With Love in her memory.
Buffy will be remembered for her creativity, humor, and her love of family and friends. Her legacy of warmth and joy will live on in all who knew her.
