Elisa Santiago's Obituary
Elisa Santiago, age 78, of Miami, Florida, passed away
peacefully on September 10, 2022. She was surrounded by
family, many friends, and much love during her final days. Born
in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, she moved to Brooklyn, New York at
the age of 10, with her parents and 9 siblings. There she met and
married the late Luis E. Cruz at the tender age of 19. They
relocated to sunny Miami in 1969. They had 3 children:
Gwendolyn (Marc) Ledene of Melbourne, FL, Lisa (Peter)
Cruz-Walsh of Chicago, IL, and Luis A. (Melissa) Cruz of
Bartow, FL. Elisa is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1
great-grandchild. She leaves behind many friends and much
love. Always the life of the party, she enjoyed salsa music,
happy hours, night life, and of course her Bingo! She was
immensely proud of her family and hispanic culture. She
recently took a trip to Puerto Rico where she basked in the sun
of La Isla del Encanto. She leaves behind nothing but beautiful

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022
from 12:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. at Van Orsdel Funeral & Cremation
