ELEISE MUNROE's Obituary
Eleise Amanda Sheba Davidson-Munroe died on September 9, 2012.
She was born on April 1, 1954 in Georgetown, Guyana and was
the daughter of the late Lloyd Alfred Davidson and Margaret
Johanna Davidson. Eleise migrated to the United Sates in 1978 and
resided in Brooklyn, New York. She attended Pace University and
majored in Business. In 1980, she married Norman Munroe and
later moved to Miami, Florida in 1989. Eleise continued to further
her education and earned a BS from Nova Southeastern University
and a MS degree in Special Education from Florida International
University.
Her interest as a young lady included fashion, designing, modeling
and Netball. This “Diva” was once crowned “Miss St. Joseph” at
her high school pageant. Eleise was also passionate about
education and loved teaching students with special needs. She was
an avid supporter of several nonprofit organizations such as
Autism Speaks and Walk for the Cure Cancer Society.
At an early age, Eleise was responsible for raising her younger
siblings. Later, she became an extremely devoted mother to her
own four children.
Eleise is survived by her spouse of thirty-two years, Dr. Norman
Munroe and their children Jermaine, Dorian, Malcolm and
Annellyse; her siblings Mark, Ornan, Carol, Hodiah, Bernard and
Allena, 10 nephews and nieces, sisters-in-law Cynthia, Claire,
Camille and Karen; and brothers-in-law Allan, Eric and Keith.
On Friday September 21, 2012 the family will be receiving friends
At Va Orsdel Funeral Home- Kendall from 6:30pm -7:30pm followed
By a celebration of Life service at 7:30pm. A reception will follow at
The funeral home.
