Elaine Moniz's Obituary
Elaine Moniz, 65, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, in Florida.
Elaine lived a life defined by resilience, curiosity, and care for others. She earned her GED and believed deeply in lifetime learning, continually expanding her knowledge through experience and self-study. She proudly served in the United States Air Force, a commitment that reflected her strong sense of duty and independence.
Throughout her working life, Elaine was a business owner and held numerous professional roles, including positions in hospital and medical clerical services, as well as serving as a receptionist in law offices and other professional environments. She was known for her reliability, organizational skills, and welcoming presence.
Elaine had a deep love for family history and genealogy, spending countless hours researching and preserving the “family tree” for generations to come. She also had a special affection for animals, especially cats, who brought her great comfort and joy. Later in life, when able, Elaine found fulfillment in helping others with their financial needs, offering assistance quietly and with compassion.

Connie (Roberto) and family
Sister Hilda
She was predeceased by her beloved mother, FloEllen; her father, Buford; and her brother, Thomas (Tom) Fisher.
A memorial service was not requested, in accordance with Elaine’s wishes. She often spoke of her desire for donations to be made to the Humane Society, reflecting her lifelong love for animals.

Elaine, as your sister, I thank you for helping keep me on track with your care and guidance. Thank you for the many gifts you gave me—so many given from your heart. God be with you. Amen.
Elaine will be remembered for her strength, generosity, curiosity, and quiet devotion to those she loved. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched and the history she preserved.
