Dear Aunt Jane,
Please accept my apologies. I was late getting the word, so this is a tardy note of condolence in the loss of Uncle Ed. I wish I could have gotten to know him better, but it seems the miles between us always got in the way. I truly enjoyed talking with him (and you) three years ago on the day of my mother's funeral in Clearwater. It made me wish That I'd been able to see him much more often. He was a good man. To me, that's the greatest compliment I could give any fine gentleman like Uncle Ed. I will remember him, as well as you and the whole Borger family, in my prayers.

Ed and Jane welcomed me to the family when I was dating Pat. I was not making much money but it made no differance to them, they made me fell welcome. But they did that for every one. I've known them now for 33 years, I don't consider them my in-laws but as my great friends and part of my family. I love them dearly.
