EDWARD LOUIS BLANCHARD's Obituary
BLANCHARD, Edward Louis passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, December 11, 2014. Edward was born on Dec. 23, 1936 in St. Barthelemy, FWI. After completing his schooling in Guadeloupe, he moved to St. Thomas, USVI for employment, eventually working many years at the Planning Board. He started a family and later moved to Miami, where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering, working for both the County and the State. He was heavily involved in many notable projects including the new 7-Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys and the South Miami Metrorail Station. He is predeceased by his mother Gertrude Florina Blanchard and granddaughter Kaitlyn Marie.
He is survived by his wife Uranie, son Jean-Louis, daughter Suzanne and granddaughter Kathryn Nicole along with many family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 6-9 PM at Van Orsdel Kendall Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec 20th at 10 AM at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, 7377 SW 64th Street, Miami 33143.
