Edith Rose Schutt-Aine's Obituary
Edith Rose-Chimène Schutt-Ainé, age 93, resident of Kendall, FL passed away peacefully on December 24 at 5:45pm with her family by her side. Edith was born in Saint-Marc, Haiti, on October 6, 1929. Her parents were Anne Armand Nicolas and Emmanuel Thalès.   On August 17, 1957, she married Emmanuel Schutt-Ainé and of this union were born five children. Edith was an elementary school teacher in Saint-Marc, Haiti for seven years and in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti for eight years. She ended her teaching career to join her husband’s bookstore business “Au Service de La Culture” in Port-Au-Prince. She is survived by Reginald Schutt-Ainé of Deland, FL, Jose Emmanuel Schutt-Ainé (Patricia Fowler) of Urbana, Illinois, Astrid Schutt-Ainé, Patricia Schutt-Ainé, Nancy Schutt-Ainé of Kendall, FL, her brother Max Raymond Thalès (Micheline Longtin) of ChateauGuay, Quebec, Canada, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and in-laws.
A visitation will be held for Edith on Thursday December 29 from 5pm to 9pm at Van Orsdel Funeral Home located at 11220 N. Kendall Drive. Funeral Mass will be on Friday December 30 at 9:30am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 11291 SW 142 Avenue followed by burial at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery in Doral.
