Over the many years I worked with Doug, both as a TD and a Director for WWE, he always impressed me with his passion for his craft. He loved pushing the envelope on whatever switcher he had in front of him, and did it with an artist's flair. We will miss him greatly, and never forget all he contributed to each and every show.

I am still numb knowing is gone so soon. I met Doug as a wet behind the ears College Graduate that had something to prove over 25 years ago. He was kind, supportive, and non judgemental. In the years that would follow, he taught me so many things that I still use to this day. Every show I do has a little piece of my dear friend Doug.... Thanks for your friendship, thanks for your example, thanks for your leadership,thanks for your excellence, thanks for all the memories. Love you and miss you my friend.

Doug was an extraordinary cool guy. He was my HBO colleague for over 20 years.
Over these many years I spent so many great times with Doug in places all over the world in the employ of HBO Boxing. He loved life and he lived it with such love. I admired him for this rare uncompromising attitude. He was an original and he loved being Doug Getts.
The last time I saw Doug we shared a cigarette break before the Pacquiao vs Rios main event in Macau, China. It was so normal. It was another HBO show, but we are in China. We've had this same cigarette break at least 100 times over the years. As we were standing around puffing, Doug was once again telling me his Asian itinerary after the fight before he returns to the States. Hong Kong, then Bangkok traveling with Billy (HBO replay editor) then back to work in Montreal for HBO B.A.D. all in one week. He was so looking forward to this personal travel time in Asia. He was going for the most of it.
For me that was Doug. Always making the most of it.
I am so sad for everyone who new him.

I worked briefly with Doug at KUTV in Salt Lake. He was exciting to be around because he was such an optimist. I'm so sorry he's been taken from us. He was a good man.
