Doralba Mesa Rodriguez, 72 years old, of Orlando, Florida, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021, in Miami, Florida. She is survived by her faithful canine companion, Moty, as well as children: Madelaine, Alexander and Dora Michelle Rodriguez; daughter-in-law: Chrissy; son-in-law: Jason; grandchildren: Isabella and Sebastian; sister: Marta Martinez; niece: Mixilinette Schultz and great nephew: Sebastian Mejia.
Born in Medellin, Colombia, on February 1, 1949, Doralba was the daughter of Isaias Mesa and Mariela Vazquez. She was a spiritual Catholic and devoted mother. She resided most of her life in Miami and loved music, dancing and food. A gregarious spirit, she cultivated many strong friendships. She enjoyed sewing and learning all kinds of handy woman skills. She was a sharp negotiator with an entrepreneurial spirit. She was an avid animal advocate, loved to garden, was known for her green thumb and would make lemonade from life’s lemons. She was very beloved and will be eternally missed. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
