DONALD JAMES SOPER's Obituary
SOPER, Donald J., 81, passed away on 1/8/2014. Born on October 17, 1932 in Chicago, IL., Don moved to Miami in 1950. He graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami. He then served in the United States Army as Lieutenant stationed in Augsburg, Germany. Upon completion of his service, Don returned to Miami to begin his career as a stockbroker with Merrill Lynch. Don's passions included spending time with his wife and grandchildren, world travel, and coaching Howard Palmetto Khoury League baseball in Pinecrest. Don is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Exie Townsend Soper, his children James (Barbara), and Michael (Janine), and his grandchildren, Catherine Haro, Conor, Hunter and Reece Soper. Memorial will be on Monday, January 13 from 6-7 pm with a service to begin at 7pm at Van Orsdel Kendall Chapel.
