She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Sammie Sirgany, parents John and Marguerite Yunis, and sisters Theresa (Camille deceased) Gilbert, Diane (William deceased) Barimo and Shirley Yoham
Dolores was devoted to family, faith and heritage. She and her husband were founding members of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church in Miami where she was a long serving member of the Ladies Sodality. Dolores was an active member of the Salam Club of Miami for more than 60 years. In honor of heritage and gratitude this charitable foundation, with members of Lebanese and Syrian decent, supports charities for those most in need. Dolores and her family were especially devoted to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. And when Danny Thomas founded ALSAC, The American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities in 1957, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude, Dolores and her family answered the call to support St. Jude’s lifesaving mission.
