Dear Joan, Joyce, Mike, Chris and Michele, Jean and Alison, Judy, Richard and Sally, David:
Our deepest heartfelt condolences on Dirk's passing. We pray for God's comfort and strength for you, knowing that Dirk is safely home.
Our family has such wonderful memories of Dirk - his sense of humor, the twinkle in his eye and quick smile, the seemingly endless supply of candy in his pocket for kids (young and old), his servant's heart and steadfast spirit, the handyman and craftsman who used his skills to help others or make homemade gifts, being a father and grandfather to many.
We remember him as Grandpa Dirk and our favorite Dutch tenor.

Dear Joan, Joyce, Jean, Richard, Judy, and David,
We also have many fond memories of Dirk. Of course ours are from the 70's and 80's at Kendall Drive Reformed Church. Dirk had such a beautiful voice as a member of the choir. We also enjoyed the choir practices since many of us, Dirk included, loved teasing our Choir Director. Dirk was a very good friend with a great sense of humor who we also enjoyed being with. We are so happy that we were able to visit with Joan and Dirk in January of 2011.
