Diana Bruno's Obituary
Diana Bruno (65) passed away with family members at her side on November 18 after a 16-month long battle with brain cancer. She was a beautiful woman, a wonderful mother, and a loving wife. She was a proud grandmother and an inspirational figure to everyone who knew her, and we will always carry her spirit with us.
Diana was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to parents Nicholas and Margaret. She met and married her husband, Paul, at a neighborhood home Bible study. Together they raised four children while Diana attended school at Eastern Michigan University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, later followed by an MBA at the University of Miami. Diana built a successful career as a certified public accountant, serving at the Director level of multiple Fortune 500 corporations.
Diana was an accomplished endurance athlete, completing three Iron Man races and competing in multiple marathons. She shared her love of fitness with a vibrant triathlete community in Miami and encouraged friends and family to tackle their first 5k or find other ways to experience the joy of an active lifestyle.
Most of all, Diana was a devoted follower of Christ. She grounded her life in the Bible’s teaching and spread God’s love to all she encountered. She always had a seat at the table and plate of food for people who came through her door, and she became chosen family to so many beyond her biological relatives. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Paul; children Daniel (Emily), Melissa, Chelsea, and Alyson; and four delightful young grandchildren, Corinne, Anthony, Ilsa, and Dottie.
