DENNIS ANTHONY LARUSSA's Obituary
Dennis Anthony LaRussa
October 15, 1946 – June 14, 2025
Dennis Anthony LaRussa, age 78, of Enfield, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on June 14th at his home. He resided in Key Biscayne, Florida for over 50 years. Born on October 15, 1946, in Springfield, Massachusetts, Dennis was the beloved son of Samuel and Jane LaRussa. Dennis was a proud alum of the University of Connecticut and Tulane University where he received his Juris Doctorate and ultimately earned his LLM in Taxation from NYU School of Law.
Dennis is remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering positivity in the face of an aggressive disability brought on by Multiple Sclerosis. He excelled professionally as a tax attorney, making partner at Steele, Hector & Davis, where he practiced until his early retirement to pursue independent success in various real estate ventures in Sunrise, Florida, and Hartford, Connecticut.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dennis was passionate about the outdoors, relishing his time on Key Biscayne’s beaches and walking along its shores until he was physically unable. Even in his final days, Dennis spent his afternoons relaxing on his balcony, taking in the sights and sounds afforded to him by his outpost in the sun.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Lynne, their son, Dennis, his sister Donna Grande and brother-in-law Jonathan Grande, and their daughter, his niece Vanessa Grande.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 20th at 11:00AM at St. Agnes Catholic Church, with a reception following interment.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to 3i Housing of Maine (https://donorbox.org/3ihome), so that others facing the same challenges Dennis did may do so in comfort, dignity, and independence.
The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to Dennis’ caregivers—Dee, Rick, Yadi, and Melissa—who became extensions of his family through their daily support, compassion, and dedication to enriching Dennis’ life during his physical hardship.
Dennis is deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
