Delphene Marie Denmark's Obituary
Delphene would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, an offer
she could not refuse. She is returning home, in a way, and was ready for her assignment. It
comes with a huge sign-on bonus; a peace, tranquility and spiritual envelopment she has long
awaited and a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her new mission
takes her to a heavenly place where she will be socializing, dancing, sitting in her grotto and
reading to her heart’s content. Music, laughter, love and Jesus are guaranteed. Food is delicious
and she’ll never gain an ounce all while her soul is continually filled with the Holy Spirit. She left
detailed instructions for her loved ones to continue her mission here as hers has now
been completed.
Delphene Marie Denmark, 76, of Miami, Fl., went to heaven on July 27, 2018.
She was born in Herrin, Il., June 30 th 1942, to Alfred and Dora Rimbert. Delphene graduated
from Hialeah HS where she was a rock star cheerleader. She proudly worked as an Executive
Assistant in the Nursing Administration Department at South Miami Hospital until her
retirement.
Delphene was a member of the Women’s Guild at St. Kevin’s, St. Timothy’s and lastly Our Lady
of Lourdes. She was also a devoted volunteer at Zoo Miami and loved her Fossil Club.
She is survived by her sister Darlene Louise Levasseur, sons: Richard Major Denmark and David
Paul Denmark, grandchildren: Rose, Michael and Robert, great-grandson: John Henry, her
sisters of the heart and all members of her extended and loving family. Delphene touched
countless individuals with her infectious love of life and Jesus. She was a devoted daughter, a
lively teenager, a loving wife, a comforting mother, a dedicated CCD teacher, a true and loyal
friend, and spoiling grandmother (and that’s the Truth!).
Delphene would not want you to cry today because she is gone; instead be happy that she was
here, and touched the hearts of so many.
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, not touched. But are felt in
the heart” – Helen Keller. Although Delphene will be missed, she will be watching over us all
through the beauty of the evening sunset, or the earliest of spring flowers, or amongst the
flitting and fluttering of colorful butterflies.
A Memorial Mass will be held 5pm, August 9 th at Our Lady of Lourdes, 11291 SW 142 Ave,
Miami, Fl. A celebration of her life will immediately follow at the Elks Lodge 10301 SW 72 nd St,
Miami, Fl.
