It doesn't seem possible that so many years have passed since we were little girls living on Tyler Mountain. I met Del on a few occasions and never did meet your daughters as we all went in different paths after graduation. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. The promise God gives us of eternal life, with no more sickness or pain and knowing that one day we will all be together in paradise is His way of seeing us through difficult times. Over the years I had the opportunity to talk with Del on several occasions when my late wife Barbara and I visited the Miami area. I recall one time he had acquired a 1940's era black car like the gangsters used to drive and he had put several stickers on it depicting fake bullet holes. He had a delicious sense of humor.

My prayers are with the whole family. Del was always a shining light at church. Eight years ago it was time to put my little townhouse on the market. After a brief conversation at church, he took charge. He listed it and led me through the whole process. He advertised it and showed it as it it were a much more valuable piece of property. I was able to leave Miami one week after I retired. Perfect timing. He will be missed.
