Deborah Jo McComb's Obituary
Deborah Jo McComb (maiden name Aronson), 78, of Miami, FL, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025.
Deborah (also: Deb, Debbie, Debbie Jo to those who knew and loved her) was born at Jackson Memorial Hospital on June 21, 1947. She graduated from Coral Gables High School and received her BFA from Florida Atlantic University. She joins her late husband, Samuel H. McComb III who predeceased her on April 11, 2004, in being happy, healthy, and free in the afterlife. In fact, they are no doubt planning their next big holiday open house or Super Bowl party.
Deborah worked as an Insurance Adjuster for several years, though her true passions included friends, family, humor, art, and retail therapy. If she had to pick a favorite pastime, she would tell you it was spending time with her chosen people over coffee, lunch, or shopping.
Deborah is survived by her beloved daughter Allison McComb of Cutler Bay, FL, and will be greatly missed by everyone with whom she crossed paths – colleagues, neighbors, bonus children, and (very importantly) her devoted lifelong friends. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jonathan and Bruce, and her parents, Marguerite and Joseph.
Funeral services will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Van Orsdel (Kendall Location: 11220 N Kendall Drive, Miami, FL 33176). Flowers may be sent directly to the location.
