David & Carol, I hope you are in peace and no longer suffering. David, I worked with you when we were on patrol together 35 years ago, on midnight shift. I am sure that many of the things you taught me enabled me to survive to become a grandfather today. A policemans lot is a difficult one. I saw you always providing for your family, you always spoke with love and pride about Carol and your children.
Twelve years ago, you called me to congradulate me when I became a Major. David, I should have taken the day off and gone to lunch with you, instead I declined. I just heard about you and Carol. In the years we worked together you were always there trying to improve all of us. Always a positive force, always there for your friends. So many of us had better lives because of you. Blessings to your children, may the peace of God be with you both.##imported-begin##k. gilpin (please list as private)##imported-end##
