I remember Mr. David Oppelt as a kind, gentle soul, profound historian, and a true gentleman and scholar. He emulated the “just and righteous” men (Abraham, St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus) of the Bible. A devoted, faithful and loving husband to Sharon, a guiding and adoring father to his five diamond daughters. He leaves an incredible legacy of a true Christian life, Christian love. I and my husband, Ed, (called home to Our Lord April 2017) always enjoyed the few but precious quality moments we shared with him. On arrival in Heaven, I hope David was asked to prepare his famous potato salad for the heavenly banquet!

The physical distance between us, Alaska to Florida, made seeing each other rare. When we did get together it was wonderful we talked about Syfi shows we both loved and the few memories we had growing up in California. He was a good man !
