Daniel Irurzun's Obituary
IRURZUN
On October 23rd 2010, Daniel Irurzun, the greatest man you never knew, silently passed away. Beloved father and husband, he is survived by his wife, Maria, and his daughter, Michelle. He dedicated his life to providing for others, especially his family, regardless of the personal cost. However, he never believed himself to be anything special, despite the smile he brought to all he met. We all need a second chance from time to time, and Danny Irurzun was often the one to make sure we got it. He loved Bach and the Beatles, Stephen King and Shakespeare. He cried at the movies (don’t tell anyone), did not know the meaning of “moderation,” and took his daughter to New York the same weekend she said she wanted to see snow for the first time. He was a die-hard Cuban who loved America, with all her good and bad. He was argumentative and stubborn, funny and brilliant. He was perfect even with all his imperfections. We will miss you terribly, papa. May you find the peace you always searched for in life. And please, try not to remodel Heaven too much.
