Constance Godwin Groves' Obituary
GODWIN GROVES
Constance “Connie” Born 11/22/1927 Died 2/20/2009
Our mother Connie passed away at home surrounded by her family. Connie was a long time Coral Gables resident. She belonged to several civic and country clubs over the years. She was in the women’s fashion business; she and her brother Buddy Godwin owned Connie Godwin Inc., a high fashion women’s boutique on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables and Biltmore Forest, N.C. In later years she was an avid card player and well known for her card skills throughout South Florida. Connie loved people and always saw the best in everyone. She was and always will be our best friend. The last 10 years of her life would not have been possible or as wonderful without the incredible care she received from her physician Dr. Rodney Benjamin of South Miami. She is survived by her hero, brother W.F. Godwin “Buddy & Josie”; four children, Deborah Robinson Craig, Frank Robinson, Joey Robinson, and John Robinson; 7 grandchildren, Michael, Tami, Casey, Audra, Danny, Sarah, and Peyton; 2 great grand daughters Britton and Kenley; many nieces and nephews; and her best friends Josie, Jean, and Judy. A Gathering with Funeral Service 5 – 8 pm Monday
