CONCETTA "TINA" FERIA's Obituary
Concetta “Tina” Feria has joined our Lord and our dad in heaven. Born on November 18th, 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland to Italian immigrant Rosario Calabrese and his wife Rosaria (Brocato). Tina was the baby of four girls. Rosaria “Rose” (Buttacavoli) (d), Santa Maria “Sandy” (Zkiab) (d), and Francesca “Fran” (Shaheen). They moved to Miami where mama attended Gesu Catholic High School and met the love of her life; our father Joe. They were blessed to have shared fifty years of marriage and created an amazing legacy that lives on with pride.
Anyone who came to know Tina always remembered her for her beautiful warm smile and her most shared words to all “God bless you”. Mama was so full of life and always knew how to have a good time. While enjoyed her grandchildren to the fullest, we often had to reprimand her and the kids because they would have too much fun! What she never failed to do is teach us the importance of honoring the Lord in our lives, always reminding us the importance of being a decent person with upstanding morals and values. She didn’t only ask these things in words nor did she judge others but simply taught us by her example. Mama not only loved God but more important, she trusted Him. She truly showed us what it meant to turn the other cheek and what it meant to persevere in the good and not so good times. She always said, life is tough but nothing is possible or impossible without God! Her children were provided her with the perfect example of what it took to be a good n, a good human beings, good spouses, and unselfish parents. We will forever honor those lessons taught by your unwavering example of love and faith. Your legacy lives on!
She is survived by her six children and their spouses, Maria (Munecas), Joseph (& Jonathon), Christina (& Gil Machado), Angela (Houston), Anthony (& Roxanna), Gina (& Jorge Padilla), 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren plus 1 on the way, nephews, nieces and their children!
Mama you will live on in our hearts and memories, forever missed and forever loved. We will never stop needing you. Watch over us along with dad from heaven. Continue to guide us and keep us safe from all the worldly unkindnesses. May you rest in the Lord’s eternal peace. We love and adore you forever & ever Amen
