There just aren't words to describe the kind, gentle, and strong man my dad was. I'm so glad he's at peace with no more aches and pains. He lived an incredible life exactly the way he wanted and his death could not have been more peaceful. I love and miss you dad. Until we meet again...
Clyde was my first training Captain on the Martin 404 at Eastern Air Lines. A wonderful gentleman, a great instructor and a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life. You were one of the best Clyde. Please say "Hi" to the rest of the best for me. J - Ron Wheeler
I had the pleasure of flying co-pilot for Clyde on many occasions. He was a respected Captain who always was extremely good at creating an atmosphere that made his entire crew glad they were under his command. I also remember his great pride in his daughter who was one of the first two female airline pilots in the USA. I am proud to say I was one of his co-pilots, and I am sad to hear of his passing. He will be missed. Please extend my heartfelt sympathy to all in his family.
