CLIFFORD WAYNE HANHAM's Obituary
HANHAM, REV. CLIFFORD WAYNE, 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Miami, Fl, April 2nd, 2014 in the presence of three of his children. Clifford joined his beloved wife of 64 years in glory, Ruth Naomi (Albright) Hanham, who died in April of 2012. Rev. Hanham faithfully served his Lord for over 65 years. His ministry began in 1951 with Berean Mission, where he labored as a missionary in Auras, Oriente, Cuba from 1953-1960. He continued his ministry to the Cuban exile community in Miami as Associate Pastor of Templo Biblico Bautista from 1962-1979, while also continuing his service as a home missionary to Spanish speaking people in Miami for Berean Mission. Next, Rev. Hanham became Associate Pastor at the Southwest Community Church Spanish Ministry, where he faithfully served from 1979-2009. Concurrently with his pastoral duties, he also worked on the faculty and administration of Miami Christian School between 1962 and 1993, before retiring after working 7 years as Headmaster of MCS. His ministry activities have included pastoral positions at several churches in Iowa and Illinois, as well as being a Professor at the Southwest Institute of Biblical Studies and National Bible College. Since 2000, Reverend Hanham also served on the Board of Directors for Mission to Haiti. He was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served on the aircraft carrier USS Hornet. Reverend Hanham is survived by his five children, Drusilla Ross, Christi (Daniel) Fernandes, Susan (James) Oetter, Sherril (William) Nealey, and Titus (Anya) Hanham; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother Jackie Hanham and Sister Jeannie Montgomery. A viewing will be held from 6 to 9 pm on Friday, April 25th at Van Orsdel Funeral Chapel, 11220 N. Kendall Dr. A service will be held at 10 am, Saturday, April 26th, at Southwest Community Church, 8951 SW 44 Street, Miami, Fl, 33165, followed by a reception and interment at Miami Memorial Park. The family requests that donations be made to the Eyes on Him Foundation, 4613 N. University Drive, #341, Coral Springs, Fl, 33067.
