Clarence L. “Bobb” 92, born in St. Paul, MN, Nov. 10, 1921 and passed away July 22, 2014. He graduated from Augsburg Theological Seminary. A past Director of the YMCA in San Francisco and Director of Parks & Recreation Dept. in Miami. He was the first U.S. Olympic official to call a game in Russia, France and Japan. He served 40 years as a volleyball player/coach and became USVBA National Referee in 1953, received the Golden Whistle Award in 1967 and also the Friar Award in 1984. He was inducted into the Volleyball Hall of Fame in 1995 and inducted into the YMCA Hall of Fame in 1997. He traveled the world with the Olympics and he spread the word of Volleyball with children all over the world. Survived by wife Adeline “Jerri”, son Bob (Lynn) and grandsons Chad and Brett Miller. Visitation 10 am until Service time 11:30 am Saturday July 26th at VAN ORSDEL CORAL GABLES CHAPEL. Entombment Vista Memorial.
