Ciro Andres Miranda's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Ciro Andres Miranda - father, husband, businessman and Friend of God.
MIAMI, FL, Nov. 6, 2024 – Businessman Ciro Andres Miranda returned home to Heaven to reunite with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ – he was 48. Ciro was a brilliantly creative entrepreneur, cunning businessman, loving husband and father, and a humble servant of Jesus Christ.
Ciro and his wife Barbara (“Barbie”) met as teenagers and quickly became high school sweethearts – it was love at first sight. Together, they raised 5 amazing children - Meraises (28), Mariah (22), Immanuel (16), Zion (14) and Koresh (12). Through Meraises and her husband Fabian, they also received a grandson Mateo (2), whom Ciro affectionally called “my boy”.
Ciro and Barbie were a prolific entrepreneurial power couple, establishing several successful businesses over the years, including digital marketing and IT service agency GOA-TECH (short for “God of Armies Technologies”), digital political campaign strategy agency Reach Voters, and international virtual professional staffing agency MyVA Support. In his own words, his accomplishments were “not bad for a high school dropout”.
Ciro Andres was born in Bogota, Colombia and came to the United States with his parents Ricardo Antonio (“Tony”) and Ruthy Miranda in the late 1970s. First settling in Yonkers, New York, he spent his formative years in Lauderhill, Florida with his younger siblings Daniel and Alejandra, until his late teens when he moved to Miami – a city he would love and cherish as his hometown until his passing.
As a child, went by “Andres”, since “Ciro” was a family name already in use by others in his family. Although his family did not practice any faith, Ciro Andres was of Jewish descent on his mother’s side.
His teenage and young adult years were turbulent. To keep him out of trouble, his father Tony brought him into his media and marketing agency as an IT apprentice. It was there that a young “Andres” learned everything he knows about IT, marketing, and running a business.
Ciro became a follower of Jesus on Feb. 2, 2008, after he received a revelation from the Lord to follow Him. The night he accepted Jesus, he learned about Cyrus, whom God used as an instrument to deliver Israel from Babylonian captivity. “Cyrus” is the English form of his birth name, Ciro. From then on, “Andres” readopted his first name, and the newly re-born Ciro began to fervently evangelize the gospel to everyone he knew.
After accepting the Lord, he felt the God calling him to reconnect with his Jewish heritage and to serve all people of God – both Jew and Christian. As a “Jew for Jesus”, Ciro provided free IT services and volunteered at synagogues and churches. He even conducted Jewish and Christian weddings across South Florida. He proudly bore the nickname “Ciro the Jew”.
Ciro and Barbie founded God of Armies Ministries. The new ministry fed the homeless, conducted evangelism outreach events, and provided free evangelism trainings to teach others how to spread the Good News. Ciro and Barbie saw a great harvest of souls from South Beach and other areas of Miami Dade & Broward. Ciro was clear that his ministry would not serve any particular 'church' organization, but only the Lord himself and the body of Christ at large.
Even after shifting his focus to his businesses, he still kept a strong spirit of evangelism in everything he did. Whether he was talking to an old friend or a complete stranger, a client or an employee, Ciro couldn’t go more than a couple of minutes before thanking Jesus for saving him. His love and devotion to the Lord was contagious. Ciro had an immense passion for people; he used every interaction as an opportunity to spread God’s message and to tell people how special they are for the Lord.
A normal day for Ciro started with a morning cup of cafecito alongside his beloved bride, followed by back-to-back conference calls with clients and staff (often double or triple-booked), and a delicious lunch lovingly prepared by his aunt- and mother-in-law (Edelsa and Dalia). Then he would drive the kids to jiu-jitsu before a relaxing dinner and a movie with the family to wind down after a long day.
Ciro will be remembered for his powerful testimony and legacy. The Lord’s Word, love, grace, mercy and justice were the firm foundation on which he built his life. His hugs, laugh, words of affirmation, smile, piercing gaze, electric energy and thundering voice made the time everyone spent with him unforgettable.
Nonetheless, Ciro wanted to be remembered simply as a sinner saved by grace, who followed Jesus and loved his wife and kids until the day he was taken by the Lord. As Ciro himself would say, he was “just a Jewish boy trying to follow his Rabbi Yeshua”.
We are reminded of Romans 8:38-39 “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
May Ciro rejoice in the eternal paradise with God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
