CHRISTOPHER DAVID TAYLOR's Obituary
Christopher David Taylor, Sr. passed away June 20th, 2013. He was born in Montgomery, Alabama, on March 3rd, 1953 and later moved to Miami with his parents Dorothy and Frank A. Taylor, Jr. He is survived by his Wife, Mary of 38 years; Son, Christopher David Taylor, Jr.; Daughter-In-Law, Elissa Taylor; Granddaughter, Elynn Grace Taylor; Brother, Frank A. Taylor III (Wife Sharon); Sisters Dorothy Savasky (Husband Jack) and Rebecca Taylor-Guritz (Husband Gary), a Nephew, Three Nieces, Five Great Nephews, Five Great Nieces, a Great, Great niece, Two Great, Great nephews and many friends.
In retirement after a thirty-five year career with Publix Supermarkets, he was a proud Captain with the Washington County Regiment of the North Carolina Militia, a Revolutionary War Reenactment group located in his ancestral home in Elizabethton, Tennessee. He was also an enormous Jimi Hendrix fan and an avid guitarist with several local classic rock cover bands. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 25th between 6pm and 10pm at Van Orsdel Family Funeral Chapel located at 11220 N. Kendall Drive, Miami, FL 33176.
