Charles Rolland Bogue's Obituary
Charles Rolland Bogue, 45, beloved son, brother, uncle, and nephew was
called to his heavenly home on October 24, 2010. Charlie was born in Lansing,
Michigan. He attended the School for the Blind in Lansing, May Sands school for special
needs children in Key West, Florida and graduated from Homestead High
School in Homestead, Florida. Charlie lived at Sunrise Community, Miami, since
1980 and worked with the Sonderling Developmental Center. Charlie loved to sing,
swim, enjoyed the outdoors and was known at Sunrise as an organized housekeeper who
liked to keep his home in good order and noticed even the small details.
He is survived by his parents John and Phyllis Bogue in Tavares, Florida;
sisters and brother: Donna Huston (Marty), Pella, Iowa; Sara Watson (Evan), Falls Church,
VA; Barbara Sanders (Greg), Jacksonville, FL; Roy Bogue (Susan), Tavernier
Key, FL; and Angela Bogue, Jacksonville, FL. He was also uncle to 8 nephews, 8
nieces and 2 great nephews. Thank you to Sunrise Community extended family
staff, nurses, doctors, friends and villa mates for their compassionate
tender care, attention and love for Charlie. Private services will be held at both
Sunrise Community and also in the Atlantic ocean off the Florida Keys to
spread Charlie's ashes in the ocean where he loved to swim. In lieu of flowers the
family asks that donations to be made to Sunrise Community Inc., 22300 SW
162nd Avenue, Miami, Florida 33170.
