Charles Edward Spanier's Obituary
SPANIER, CHARLES EDWARD, 84, passed away November 12th after a lengthy, courageous fight. He was a native of Miami and attended Andrew Jackson High School. Charlie (Numero Uno) was proudly employed by Eastern Airlines for almost 45 years. He was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Cowpens for 3 years. Dad loved serving the Lord and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Hialeah and then University Baptist Church of Coral Gables. His interests revolved around helping at church and helping his wife and daughter in whatever projects they were involved in. He is predeceased by his wife, Elaine and survived by his daughter, Melane and younger sister, Helen Krauss. I'd like to express my most sincere thanks to Awilda for taking such wonderful care of "Papa" these last 2 years and also to the doctor's and staff at Doctor's Hospital. Visitation 6 - 8 pm Friday at VAN ORSDEL CORAL GABLES. Celebration Service will be 11 am Saturday at University Baptist Church. Interment will be in Tennessee.
