CELIDA MENDOZA RODRIGUEZ's Obituary
Rodriguez, Celida (Gonzalez de Mendoza), went home to the Lord on February 25, 2014, at the age of 94. Born in Key West on August 19, 1919, the eldest of six born to Celido & Caridad Gonzalez de Mendoza. The family moved to Miami in 1931. Graduated from Gesu High School in Miami with the class of ’37. Attended the Traphagen School of Design in New York. Long time employee of Eastern Airlines. Active member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Pinecrest. Celida is survived by her sister, Anita Cattuna (john) and Dora Morris (James), numerous nieces & nephews that she dearly loved. The loving wife of the late Herman Dedloff and the late Braulio Rodriguez. Proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Celido, Jr. Armando and sister Asela. A viewing will take place on Friday, 2/28/2014 from 9:00AM to 10:30AM with a Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery North. (SW 8th Street) In lieu of flowers, Celida requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or St. Louis Catholic Church.
