CECILE PARE BARRETO's Obituary
Cecile Pare Barreto (100 years old), of Miami, FL was promoted by God to heaven on Friday, February 3. A loving mother to her 11 children, Cecile is the beloved matriarch of the Barreto Family and is now back in the arms of her late husband Roger, of Key West, Florida.
Born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada on Tuesday, April 19, 1922. Her parents, Joseph Alfred and Rose Anita Pare with their four children, moved to Miami and opened City Line Grocery when she was three years old. Cecile was often found at her parents' store, appropriately named for its location on the city line of Miami on NW 22nd Avenue. She was a student at Gesu Catholic School in downtown Miami where she graduated in the class of 1940. Cecile was called a "leader" and "one of the most accomplished" graduates winning the title of "Miss Gesu," receiving recognition for her many achievements in academics and sports.
Cecile cherished raising her 11 children. She taught them all to love God and one another, love their neighbor, and the importance of giving back. Her heart and home exuded love. Smiley faces and love signs were present in every room of her home as a quiet, constant reminder of something so important to her - love and happiness.
She is survived by her 11 children, who she fondly called her "11 blessings," 22 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

Dad,
As promised, we surrounded mom with love, respect, and endless care... a privilege that in turn blessed us beyond words! We will all love you both forever. Here's a toast to both of you now that you are back together, "Cheers of Love!"
A celebration of life will be held 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, March 6 at NOMA Beach at Redfish at Matheson Hammock Park (9610 Old Cutler Rd, Coral Gables, FL 33156). In lieu of flowers, it was Mom's request that you deliberately make a difference in someone's life. Surprise someone by paying it forward or a kind act towards a stranger. Let your heart guide you.
