CATHERINE LOUISE CRAVENS's Obituary
Catherine L Cravens, 88, passed away on January 8, 2015. Catherine a native of Miami was a woman of simple wants and needs. Her family, faith and friends are what sustained her. A soft spoken, kind hearted woman, who touched so many people throughout her life.
A devout woman of God she had a strong, unwavering faith, showing love and compassion to everyone. No one was a stranger to her, just a new friend to talk to and learn about. She never spoke negatively of others, looked for the best in everyone and always seemed to find it.
She had a love of music. When younger she played the piano and would often break into song, which always had her husband Lawrence joining in to sing with her.
Her primary focus has always been family. She was especially dedicated to those dearest to her, ready to offer encouragement, support and prayers. She was never happier than with family and considered that her greatest accomplishment and legacy in this life.
Catherine was the beloved mother of 10 Children (Cecile {Robert}, Catherine, Lawrence, Leonard {Kathie}, Christine {John}, Leslie {Traci}, Caroline, Leon {Jeanne}, Louis, Caryn), Grandmother to 20 (Robert, Michaele {Steve}, Daniel, Alixandra, Victoria, Carrie {Lex}, Lauren, Lisa {Eduardo}, Levi, Christy, Chelsie {Michael}, Jaymie, Jake, Joshua {Brittany}, Crystal {Jose}, Ricky{Alexandra}, Maribeth {Mathew}, Justin, Jessica and Robert) and Great-Grandmother to 14 (Connor, Kyler, Gage, Sofia, Olivia, Alora, Collette, Eoin, Jaden, Julian, Darien, Ricky, David, Christopher). Her light shines on in each of them.
