Catherine E Beauregard's Obituary
Catherine E. Beauregard, 89, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, in Miami, FL, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Cathy spent her early years rooted in the charm of New England. She grew up in the close-knit Rhode Island community. She enjoyed Block Island as a young girl and spent time in Newport while in college. She loved taking day trips throughout New England. These things shaped her love for the New England coast.
She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy – Bay View in Riverside, RI, in 1954, and went on to attend Salve Regina University in Newport. Early in her working life, she enjoyed a career as a bank teller in Rhode Island, where her smile and kind heart made her a natural fit for helping others.
In 1959, Cathy married her love, Wilfred R. Beauregard, and together they built a life filled with love and an unwavering partnership through 58 years of marriage. They enjoyed their honeymoon in Miami and dreamed of warm sun-filled days. They welcomed three children, David, Mary, and Ann, before moving to Miami, FL in 1969 to begin their next chapter.
Catherine dedicated more than 30 years of service to the Archdiocese of Miami as a Library Media Specialist at St. Brendan High School, where she touched countless lives with her patience, quiet strength, and gentle guidance.
Outside of her work, her greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and loved vacationing at her loved Sanibel Island. Cathy also enjoyed giving back to her community and was active for many years with Miami Elks Lodge #948 as a chaplain with the Elkettes.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wilfred, her parents, Rita (Hanson) Almeida and Richard Almeida, and her brother, Richard W. Almeida Jr.
Catherine is survived by her three loving children, David Beauregard, Mary Hale (Jeff), and Ann Jedlinski (Tony), and by her four grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, Ryan, and Megan.
Funeral mass will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 11:30 AM. At the request of the family, a private interment will immediately follow at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery in Doral, FL.
Services entrusted to Van Orsdel Funeral Home (Kendall, FL)
