Catalina Sara Herrera's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Catalina Sara Herrera Breitling, who peacefully passed away on May 20, 2026, in Miami, Florida after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. She was born in Santiago, Chile on February 16, 1950.
Catalina married the love of her life, her beloved “Mi Tito,” Hector Herrera. Together, they built a beautiful life and eventually relocated to Miami Beach, where they created a home filled with unconditional love, laughter, music, and unforgettable memories.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, faithful Catholic, and loyal friend. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, Anthony and her “princess,” Allison, whom she lovingly called her “pollitos.” She gave her family a life filled with warmth, comfort, happiness, and memories that will be treasured forever. Her kindness touched everyone who knew her.
Catalina had a heart of gold. She was loving, generous, kind, selfless, hardworking, compassionate, strong, and full of joy. She always put others before herself, and her family and friends often said she was truly an angel walking among us.
Music brought her pure happiness, and she could dance for hours, especially with her sweet Tito, the love of her life for nearly 60 wonderful years. She also had a remarkable green thumb and lovingly cared for her plants, which flourished under her gentle touch.
Throughout her life, Catalina showed extraordinary strength, resilience, and grace in the face of every challenge. Even during her hardest days, she remained caring, selfless, and deeply devoted to those she loved.
Though our hearts are broken by this loss, we find peace in knowing that her suffering has ended and that she is finally at rest. Her love, strength, and beautiful kind spirit will continue to live on through her family and all the lives she touched.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
Goodbye for now, Mamacita mía. You will never be forgotten. We will always love you more.
Per her wishes, we held a private celebration of her life.
— With all our love, Tito, Karina, Anthony, Allison Catalina, Carlos, and Alex
